OBJECTIVES

• To provide a complete data of practising engineers within ASEAN with the ultimate purpose of facilitating their mobility within the ASEAN ambit and to establish a framework of mutual recognition of qualifications in order to allow engineers who wish to practice outside their home country to carry with them a guarantee of ability.
• To provide sufficient data regarding the formation of individual engineers for the benefit of prospective employers.
• To encourage a continuous updating on the quality of engineers by setting, monitoring and reviewing standards.
• To promote cultural and professional links among members of the engineering profession within ASEAN.
• To enhance the wealth creation process of ASEAN countries.

REQUIREMENTS

The ASEAN Engineer Register Commission has been established which will be represented by each member organisation. On 1st October each year the Register Commission will circulate to all member organizations a list of all registrations made during the previous calendar year. The head of the Register Commission shall be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Register.

The minimum requirements for an applicant to be admitted into the Register are:

• Must possess an engineering degree recognized in the home country.
• Must be a full time member of the Engineering or Technological association and licensed to practice in the home country
• Must have a minimum seven (7) years post graduate working experience in an engineering environment and has spent at least two (2) years in responsible charge of substantial engineering work

PROCEDURE

1. Visit www.ptc.org.ph.
2. Download the application forms and the competency standards forms.
3. Fill up the application form and complete an Engineering Practice Report(EPR) as prescribed in the competency standards
4. Secure a certificate of membership in good standing from your Accredited Professional Organization
5. Compile photocopies of supporting documents (certificates, technical reports and papers) in 8.5” x 11”
6. Application forms, EPR and supporting documents should be submitted in bound format.
7. Submit the application forms and documents, along with the non-refundable processing fee of PhP 2,000.00 to PTC.
8. Entry fee and 1st year fee (payable upon acceptance): US$ 40.00
9. Annual fees: US$ 30.00
